A NOTE FROM MARCUS THORNE

Built on mechanical honesty

EST. 2017

To the owners of the 80s and 90s icons,

I started FC Azerbaijan in 2017 because I was tired of seeing 90s legends treated like disposable cars. Back then, many workshops were using modern shortcuts or generic parts that just didn't fit. I knew there was a better way to keep these machines alive. It started with a single 1992 V12 rebuild that took us 7 weeks to get exactly right.

We don't believe in guesswork here. If a part doesn't exist, we don't just 'make it work' with duct tape and prayers. We find the original factory blueprints and rebuild the component to the exact specs it had thirty years ago. It's a slow process, but it's the only way to ensure these cars drive the way they were meant to.

Today, our team of 8 specialists works out of our Bristol workshop to protect the heritage of these icons. We aren't interested in being the biggest shop in the UK. We just want to be the one that does the job properly. To be upfront, we'll say no if we think a project isn't a fit for our standards. Mechanical honesty is our only rule.

See you in the workshop,

Marcus

Watch our lead technician Marcus Thorne walk through the full tear-down and rebuild of a 1992 icon. Honestly, the condition of the pistons was a surprise.
